Scott Valentine Obituary, Death – Scott Allen Valentine, aged 51, of Blanchester, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington. Born on November 14, 1972, in Wilmington, he was the beloved son of James H. and Vicky J. (Harrison) Valentine. Scott graduated from Wilmington High School in 1991, where he had a notable presence on the baseball field as part of the Hurricane team. His nickname, “Val,” echoed through the halls of the high school, a testament to his impact on and off the sports arena.

A passionate sports fan, Scott found joy in following the New York Yankees, displaying a fervor for the game that resonated with those around him. Beyond the excitement of sports, his true happiness came from the time spent with his cherished family, particularly his grandchildren. Scott’s warmth, love, and devotion were evident in every moment shared with his wife, Stacy Valentine, whom he married on June 13, 1998, and their children, Hunter (Ashley) Valentine and Sierra Leonard, both of Wilmington. The laughter and joy of his grandchildren, Bentley, Carson, and Jaylen, brought immeasurable happiness to his life.

Scott leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished moments, forever remembered by his parents, Jim and Vicky Valentine, his brothers, Shawn Valentine of Englewood and David Roustio, in-laws Rick and Vicki Horn, sister-in-law Stephanie Slivinski, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents and several aunts and uncles.

A celebration of Scott’s life will be held during the funeral services at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington. Visitation will commence at 2:00 p.m. and continue until the time of the service at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. As friends and family gather to bid farewell, the memory of Scott’s vibrant spirit and the love he shared will provide comfort during this difficult time.
